What to send

• Photos of your project — two to five is perfect. Good light and a plain background help. Please send the original files rather than screenshots.
• The project name, and which of our plans or tips you used (if any).
• The name or handle to credit — your first name, full name, a nickname, or a social-media handle. It's up to you.
• An optional link to show with your credit, such as your website, Instagram, or YouTube channel.
• A few sentences about the build in your own words — what you made, what you learned, what you'd do differently.
• A clear permission statement: that you took the photos (or otherwise own them), that the project is your own work, and that you give Sawdust Smart permission to feature them. The template below includes this wording.

I give Sawdust Smart permission to feature these photos, my description, and the credit and link above on sawdustsmart.com. I understand the photos may be cropped or resized, and that I can ask to have my build removed at any time by emailing hello@sawdustsmart.com.

How we use your submission

• Only with explicit permission. We publish a build only after you've confirmed in writing that the photos are yours and that we may feature them. If anything is unclear, we'll ask before publishing.
• Credited as you ask. We show the name or handle you give us and, if you want one, your link. We never publish your email address.
• Your words. The description on your build's page is quoted from what you send. If it needs shortening, we'll keep your meaning.
• Photos may be cropped or resized to fit the page and load quickly. We don't otherwise alter them. Resizing also removes hidden photo metadata such as camera location.
• You keep ownership. Sending us photos only gives us permission to show them on sawdustsmart.com alongside your credit. We don't sell them or license them to anyone.
• Remove it any time. Email hello@sawdustsmart.com and we'll take your build down or change your credit — no reason needed.
• Not every build gets featured. We may not be able to feature every submission, and we don't pay for submissions.

A few requests

• Please send only your own work and photos you took or own.
• Leave people — especially children — out of the photos, or make sure anyone pictured is happy to appear online.
• Avoid anything that reveals where you live, like a house number or street sign in the background.
• Projects that show unsafe practices (for example, missing blade guards in a shop photo) may not be featured.
