Short version: Sawdust Smart doesn't earn money from the links on this site.
Links to stores and suppliers
We link to retailers, lumber suppliers, and tool makers (mostly on our Where to Buy page) because readers often ask where to find things. These links are:
- Not affiliate links. We aren't part of any affiliate program, and we don't get a commission if you buy something.
- Not paid placements. No company has paid us, sent us free products, or asked us to include or rank them.
- Not endorsements of specific products. We list stores for what they're generally useful for. Prices, stock, and policies change, so check for yourself before you buy.
Links to other websites are marked with an arrow (↗) and open in a new tab.
Product mentions in tips and plans
Our tips and plans describe tools and materials by type (for example, "a random-orbit sander" or "PVA wood glue") rather than recommending specific brands. When a product type matters for safety or food contact, we tell you what to look for on the label and to follow the manufacturer's instructions.
If this changes
If we ever join an affiliate program, accept sponsorships, or receive free products, we'll update this page first and clearly label affected links or articles, in line with the US Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements. Until this page says otherwise, assume no link on Sawdust Smart is paid.
